KKN hosts the Prayer Breakfast for 2018 for invitees as the high point during our 25th anniversary on Saturday, April 21st at a central restaurant on Karl Johans Gate in Oslo.
At the Prayer Breakfast 2018 international and Norwegian Christian leaders, activists and intercessors will participate, as well as the winners of the Family Defense Award 2018. We will spend ample time in prayer for the people and the nation.
The Prayer Breakfasts in Oslo from 1992 until 1999 were never officially hosted by KKN, but by Seierskirken with pastor Jan-Aage Torp at the helm, and with Lutheran Faculty of Theology Professor Arvid Tångberg, the leader of the Evangel Centers Ludvig Karlsen, and evangelist Emanuel Minos as faithful contributors. Torp was the leader of the Board of KKN at that time as well. Most of the years the Prayer Breakfasts were held during the Advent season, most often in the Roccocco Hall and «Speilsalen» of Grand Hotel, and also at Plaza Hotel.
We have had as honorary guests international leaders such as Pat Robertson (1993) and Kjell Sjöberg (1996), and national leaders such as Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland (1996), the Christian Democratic Party (KrF) leader Kjell Magne Bondevik (1993) and several Members of Parliament and clerical leaders such as bishop Per Lønning (several times).
