- I really hope that Poland´s Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz grants asylum to Silje Garmo and her 14 month old daughter Eira, says psychology-specialist Einar C. Salvesen in a conversation with Christian Coalition World (KKN).

After the recognized  Norwegian psychologists Salvesen and Joar Tranøy both have followed closely Silje and Eira Garmo for a year, and the weighty legal thinktank Ordo Iuris in Warsaw has investigated the case about Silje Garmo´s asylum application to Poland, the Polish Office for Foreigners has recommended that Foreign Minister Czaputowicz grant the application, which is getting a lot of attention in Poland with big media reports several times a week, while in Norway her name is anonymized «for privacy protection», which Silje Garmo by no means is concerned about. She comes forth with full name and photographies in Polish tv programs and newspapers. KKN is the only organization with media power in Norway that writes openly about the case. Not a single Christian daily newspaper mentions the case.

- I have followed closely her case regarding «Barnevernet» in Norway since her baby was newborn. She was referred to me by her medical doctor for treatment and guidance as a psychologist in the Specialist Health Services, and I have cooperated with psychologist Joar Tranøy in this matter.

- Based on the fact that Silje no longer trusted the investigators in «Barnevernet», and that trust is an absolutely central factor when such matters are to be investigated, I outlined for «Barnevernet» several solutions: One solution was that Silje should take part in the selection of a professional investigator who would investigate her. Another solution was that - in addition to the investigator from «Barnevernet», which she did not trust - a professional investigator would be added who she trusts and who would also be acceptable to «Barnevernet»..

In a Message of Concern to «Barnevernet» on June 7th, 2017, Salvesen wrote:

«I have since contacted «Frogner Barnevern Services» several times because of my concern for the situation which mother and child are in today.

I have stated several times to «Barnevernet» that this case can be solved if «Barnevernet» is willing to cooperate regarding good solutions that all parties can agree upon. I have stated that mother is willing to be investigated if the conditions are made for this, and furthermore I have outlined how this can be solved in practical terms. «Barnevernet» has not responded.

For good reasons, mother lives today under great pressure and fear because of the  handling of this case by «Barnevernet». This is of grave concern, and I do not appreciate that «Barnevernet» puts mother and child in the sitution they are now in.  This is totally unnecessary and can - at best - be understood as a lack of flexibility and judgement from «Barnevernet´s» side.

«Barnevernet´s» handling is - regardless - not in the best interest of the child, and that is what must carry the greatest weight in this case.»

In the answer to Salvesen the day after, on June 8th, 2017, «Frogner Barnevern Services» show no courtesy, and write instead:

«...you and psychologist Tranøy (must) respect the job that is done by «Frogner Barnevern Services» in that we want mother to receive guidance and observations at Aline Family Center.

As of today, «Frogner Barnevern Services» has proceeded with the take-over of parental care, cf§ 4-12.»

Silje and baby Eira fled to Poland where the asylum application was presented on August 31st.

The decision of Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz is expected soon.
