Today the results of last week’s elections to the European Parliament have been released. A total of 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) representing some 500 million people from 28 member states have been elected by the people.
The big losses for the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) and the center-right European People's Party (EPP) represent obvious shiftings in the EU, which has relied on this «Grand Coalition» for its development for decades. The huge gains for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE&R), as well as the Greens and the Right parties (France, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Belgium & more) shows the discontentment of Europeans with the secular and centrist policies of the EU.
This creates a unique challenge for the years to come.
KKN can think of no better strategist and possibility-thinker than the Director of European Christian Political Movement (ECPM), Leo van Doesburg, to identify and bring together politicians from the various streams - both traditionalists and «the new» - for impacting policies for the defense of the Jewish people and the Christian family values. These vital concerns have been under attack in the EU center in Brussels for several years.
Beginning 2019 is a historic season of opportunities in Europe, and KKN supports the initiatives of ECPM to «Grab it!»
KKN is a Euro-sceptic movement. We adamantly oppose Norwegian EU membership, but we recognize the importance of the EU for the member states, and we acknowledge the significance of the development of EU for all of Europe. Vital ideological issues are currently being debated in the EU. We look forward to this solid leap forward in the number of Christian, values-based MEPs after the 2019 elections.
